Winner of numerous scholarships and awards, Diogo Ramos, who has already collaborated with star Chico César, is a multi-talented artist with a keen interest in rhythms in all their diversity. Influenced by tropicalism, a movement that celebrates the universality of music, the author, composer, performer, producer, and guitar virtuoso is a brilliant jack-of-all-trades. He excels at subtly adapting Gilles Vigneault's songs to a bossa nova style, while his latest productions are a dazzling mix of samba-funk fused with electro and hip-hop. Released in 2023, his latest album, “Cabaça,” is in the same vein: “The album is full of sparkling brass, warm choirs, and groovy bass lines. It's full of wonderful collaborations.” (Radio-Canada, 2023).

A new album
Paulo Ramos' 9th album, entitled Lua Vermelha, which means "red moon" in Portuguese, is available on digital platforms.
Authentic, always with a sincere smile on his lips, Paulo Ramos has a luminous aura, creating an atmosphere where frenetic joy and tender melancholy overlap. Paulo charms, captivates, conveying the intoxicating sensuality of his native country.
Faithful to the rhythms of Brazil, Paulo continues to add his personal touch, especially in a guitar playing style which combines low notes' depth to the jazzy color of the high ones. His lyrics celebrate life's beauty, the sometimes bitter sweetness of love, and above all the unalterable sense of joy shared by those who know how fragile we are.

My brother and mentor Toninho Ramos passed away on February the 28th, 2023. I want to celebrate his life here with the hope that his music continues to touch the heart of those who listen to it.
